3 fresh summer drinks recipes
July, we're right in the middle of summer. We are on holiday, it's warm, we swim, we enjoy the sunny days. So what's best than sipping a fresh drink, with friends next to the pool, or simply at home, during the afternoon? Here are three recipes of homemade drinks for the summer!
Peach coconut drink
If you like coconut (and peach by the way), this recipe is for you.
You will need:
1 ripe peach (organic if possible)
10 cl coconut milk
Wash the peach and cut it in a bowl. Add the coconut milk, and mix it with a mixer until you have a sort of thick juice. Transfer it in a glass and it's ready!
This drink is very soft, because the peach and the coconut don't have a strong flavor. It's delicious, to be tested!
The recipe gives a small quantity of juice (see picture), but it's enough for one person.
Homemade lemonade:
This is certainly one of my favorite drinks.
You will need:
1 lemon
Water
Sugar (white or brown)
Begin by pressing 1 lemon and put the juice in a carafe. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar, and water up to three quarters of the carafe. You can add more sugar as you like. Then, balance with more lemon, or more water, until you're satisfied.
When you're finished, I recommend you to write the quantities you used, to be able to reproduce it whenever you want to. 😉
Detox water:
This drink is definitely made for healthy-recipe addicts!
You will need:
1 organic lemon
1/2 organic cucumber (or a peeled non-organic one)
A few organic strawberries
A handfull of mint leaves
Some edible flowers (optional)
Water
Ice cubes
In a jar, add the lemon cut in slices, the chopped mint leaves, about ten thin cucumber slices, and your strawberries cut in small pieces. Pour some water to fill up the jar. Let it sit for at least half an hour. Add the ice cubes, and your edible flowers as decoration (it's optional). And voilà, time to serve!
For this drink, you can add the fruits that you want or that you've got at home, for example frozen or fresh raspberries...
These recipes are the ones I prefer to make during the summer, and I hope you'll like them too.
Don't forget to tell me if you reproduce one!
